Second Auntie Blanket

I've cast on the second auntie blanket for my nephew, who should put in an appearance sometime next month.  This one is a simple checkerboard pattern, and is going much faster than the first blanket. 

My next challenge is socks.  I have a pattern for baby socks, and it's far past time for me to get over my fear of double-pointed needles.

Your blanket looks wonderful. I'm stuck on the sleeves of a sweater knit for a great-nephew who arrived in October. Good thing I made it big. Don't be afraid of DPN. I finally learned and it is really fun.
