Intentions

My intentions for this blog were to post both yarn and project together.  Thanks to my crabby hands, I cannot knit nearly as fast as I can spin, so yarns and projects will be posted as completed.

This is Fruit Stripe, my first purchase from Woolgatherings.  It is a merino, bamboo, and tussah silk blend.

I'd like to tell you that my purchases are carefully considered,  matching fiber to the use of the garment, but this purchase was all about the colors.  They were the perfect spin for February and March.

I split the braid lengthwise, weighed it, and spun each length end to end.

It barber poled, when I plied, but that's okay.  It's still very cheerful, and I think the stripes will still be apparent when knit.

A close up of the barber poles:

I cannot wait to see if it works in the project I have in mind for it.
