In Progress

This bit of gorgeousness is from Ken at The Homestead Hobbyist.  Now I realize that it's a bit unfair to link to his shop, as he has just moved across the country to Seattle, but he should be up and running again, soon.

As you can see, this is Bloodstain, a combination of superfine merino, shetland, and mulberry silk.  It's one of those braids that you are tempted to hang onto just to pet, it's so soft.  The picture is dark, but it is the only way I can keep my camera reading the color anywhere close to what it is in real life.

The first skein, hanging up and nearly dry:

I have been chortling gleefully, ever since I got this braid.  I have had a project in my mind for quite some time, and this is perfect.  It will hit the needles as soon as it's dry.
