February Rainbows

February can be so dreary; endless grey, dark days.  I desperately craved bright colors.  Enter Cheerful Day by Three Waters Farm, 8 ounces of 80/20 Organic Polworth/Cultivated Silk.  Each section containing two colors: darker red/lighter red shading to orange/yellow to yellow green/green to lighter blue/darker blue.

I kept the sections together, more successfully this time, intending a somewhat thicker yarn than my usual.  My purpose was to spin enough yarn to knit a cardigan for my granddaughter.

Unfortunately, I defaulted:

The blue skein actually came out the weight I intended the entire spin to be.  Because of the weight issues, I cannot get gauge for the cardigan I intended; however, I think I have found a pattern that will work.   It's next up after the Christmas Squirrel.
