Chintz

I was so excited when I saw Chintz by SpinJones.  I knew who this belonged to, I knew how I was going to handle it, and I was pretty sure I knew which pattern I was going to use.  I was so excited, in fact, that I didn't keep very good notes!

Chintz is 21 micron merino, tussah silk, milk protein, firestar, and silk noil. These batts are so light and fluffy that it's like spinning cotton candy, and it's so much fun to watch the colors and the bits of noil add their magic to what you are spinning.

I will tell you right now that I am a complete control freak, so letting the slubs and bits come into the yarn without smoothing it out completely is the closest thing I to art yarn I can stand.  I'm honestly not sure I can handle art yarn, but I know I will be trying it at some point.

There are two batts in each set, and I bought two sets.  So, four batts altogether, and I spun one batt per bobbin.  Batts were stripped and spun Z plied S.

The first set of batts came out to 328 yards, and the second approximately the same.  I was so excited that I forgot to count.

I absolutely love how this turned out!  You really can't go wrong with any of Lora's fiber.
