KISS* Socks

After I bought this yarn, my first impulse was to go straight to the back of the book and start working on a pair of fancy cabled or lace socks.  However, since this is my first pair, I had to remind myself to "keep it simple, stupid," thus the name of the socks.

It's not bad for a first attempt; they are reasonably the same size.  Although I did decrease the foot from 16 to 14 stitches to try and fit my skinny feet, the ankles are still a bit big.  I'm going to wash and block them, and then see how they fit.  If they don't fit me, they may very well fit someone else in the house, as we all wear about the same shoe size.

The pattern is a simple knit three, purl one rib, and the feet are straight stockinette.  The pattern is based on the 7 stitch per inch sock in Getting Started Knitting Socks, by Ann Budd.
