On Fearlessness
One of the things I admire most about my boys is their absolute fearlessness in trying new things. Compose music? Make movies? Create computer-generated characters? Write stories? Draw? They have done all of these things and more. Not only has it never occurred to them that they "can't," but their reaction if they fail is to shrug and move on to something else.
It is this that I am learning from them: Go ahead and try. If you fail, shrug and move on. You really have nothing to lose.
