Moorhen II

I received a bit of Moorhen as a sample with my learn to spindle kit from Hilltop Cloud, and fell in love with it.   The reds, yellows, and greens leave you wondering how it will look, and it is so very subtle.  I managed to snag an entire braid, just in the nick of time.

It is very difficult to get a good picture of it, after it is spun.  It's brown, with the colors twisted through.

Two ply gave me 130 yards of aran weight at 8 wpi.  Not quite as much as I had hoped, but certainly more than a three ply would have yielded.  Washing the scarf allowed to it stretch to it's final length, which will work nicely.  Not too short, not too long, and it's still squishy, not thin and scratchy.

I'm happy with it, and the unintentional smiley face makes me laugh.  I think the recipient will like it as well.
